Private tutoring

Whether you’re looking for a career change, need help with your studies, or just want to take better pictures, I can help you improve your photography. But first, a bit about me.

I have a Bachelor of Photography from Photography Studies College, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canberra, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Box Hill Institute. Add to that over 17 years of industry experience, a bunch of fancy awards, and you’ve got yourself a package!

I operate in fortnightly 2-hour lessons, which allow time to dedicate to a range of activities such as delivering new information, photography exercises, reviewing your images, and covering any particular areas you may want to focus on. Having worked with students of varying ages and experience, I understand the importance of tailoring my tutoring to meet each individual’s needs and learning style.

iPhoneography masterclass

Ready to take your iPhoneography to the next level? Then look no further! This 4-hour workshop teaches the fundamentals of photography, such as focus and exposure, artistic composition, working with natural light, creative smartphone techniques, burst, panorama, flash, post-production, and much more. You'll learn not only how to perfectly capture what you see, but more importantly, how to creatively interpret your subject.

Why George Poulakis Photography? I'm glad you asked. In 2005 I was awarded the first qualified Apple Product Professional in the world. Yes, in the world. This led to me preparing and presenting weekly seminars for Apple. I’ve taken this experience, and my love of photography, and developed an iPhoneography workshop that's both fun and comprehensive.

Still not convinced? Why not check out this short piece I wrote on creative composition for a preview of what's to come.
